William Tunstall, of Mechanicsville, formerly of Blackstone, passed away on June 12, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dorothy Tunstall; wife, Betty Hansbarger Tunstall.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn T. Tunstall; his daughter, Beth Tunstall Wood (Richard); grandchildren, Jake and Lauren Wood; sister, Joan E. Tunstall; stepchildren, Elizabeth and Daniel (Allison) Longest; and stepgrandson, Jacob.

He was a proud graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Building Construction, where he was also a member of the Corps of Cadets D Squadron. He served in the National Guard.
