“Charlie Peterson, we miss you every day. You were everyone's friend and you always had a lighthearted thought loaded on the tip of your tongue. You enjoyed being called the “Tuna” and we enjoyed calling you the “Tuna”....You were a treat to know. Your death reunited the Fraternity and I'm not talking about just our 'era of friends'....thanks to your good friend Briz we are bringing the entire Fraternity together from the Charter Brothers forward. We could not ask for a better gift. Our “Summer of '72” trip to Europe was a fantastic lifetime of memories. Our weekend trips around Virginia is how I remember the “good ole days”....Rest in Peace our Great Friend. Sorry I could not get you to Thailand before you left this planet. Your Vickie stood by you all the way. I hate to say good-bye.” - G.A. Baker, Fall '67 3/7/2015
“To the Brothers of Pi Kappa and Sigma Nu and their wonderful wives and girlfriends,
I cannot thank everyone enough for their hospitality, love and kindness last Saturday. Thank you for sharing your memories and wonderful stories about Charlie. It filled my heart to know that he was as loved by everybody just as much as I loved him.
It meant so much to be one of the three Vicki’s. I know that Charlie was there smiling and laughing with all of us.
You don’t know how much your generosity has helped me through this difficult time. Thanks again to each of you for your kindness and friendship. What a wonderful evening.
Love, Vicki” - Vicki Wickers
