Ethel B. Dobbins, formerly of Bedford, Va. and Blacksburg, Va., departed this life the morning of November 20, 2007. She was born October 27, 1913, the oldest daughter to Robert and Alice Bell of Bedford, Va. After moving to Blacksburg, Va., she met and married the late Rice Dobbins, Sr. and to this union four sons were born, Harold R. Dobbins (Geraldine), John I. Dobbins, Sr. (Gloria), Glenwood R. Dobbins (Margaret) and Rice Dobbins, Jr. (Wyomia). In later years she moved to Washington, D.C. to be with her sons. She is survived by her sons; 11 grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; one brother; five sisters; one brother-in-law; one sister-in-law; and numerous family and friends.
